Excellent presentation as always from a knowledgeable and experienced craftsman. What I do find shocking is the amount of plastic based foam that's finding its way into buildings and the rasping of the insulation blocks you demonstrated clearly released so much microplastic into the environment that it's easy to see why it's becoming such a problem. In 2022 microplastics were found in human blood for the first time, it was found in the blood of 80% of people in the study and if its in your blood its in every organ in your body.
Wow looks really neat. The courses seem very reasonable too many have to invest in a few days
Love this but what would you do on a solid pebble wall( Victorian )as it’s uneven. Love to see it done , how much for example is a sheet and size and a bag of adhesive.👍
Hi Roger think your videos are great and I'm an ardent fan.I have a question, I'm refurbishing my old home and have put everywhere suspended plasterboard ceilings on metal profiles, I now want to insulate with mineral wool but I have not put a vapour barrier between the profiles and plasterboard,is it necessary to do so? I would appreciate your comment.
That was absolutely brilliant, very clear, some great tips and confidence boosting. I have a house thats been extended in the last 4 years with the walls on the older part not being greatly insulated so may consider doing this on those older external walls. Not quite sure how it would look or fit on the external walls that have the gas and electricity access doors on them though with either gas piping feeding out below or the electricity power unit on the internal side of the wall. Welcome any advice.

Roger - did I hear you imply damp rising up? liker rising damp.......... I'l get me coat!
What happens at the bottom of this wall?
Same stuff , but thin 40-50mm cam be use for inside or witch is the best solution for inside?
That looks like the sheet version of what we had blown into our walls. Very interesting video, and thank you for sharing.
You should've put 2-3 cm insulation boards on top and sides of widow frames
Roger,
What about window head drip and sill drip, without that, the wall below the window sill will stain after a while?
Can you glue those grey slabs on to pebbledash or should I knock off the pebbles/flints to get a smoother surface? Maybe the pebbles give a better bond that won't slip - a bit like the tread on a tyre? Also, many 1930s semis have a curved section of wall below the upstairs and downstairs front windows. How would you insulate that curve on the outside? I believe that curve was inspired by graceful ocean liners of that era!
Great video and a wonderful presentation. Well done and many thanks.
I'm looking forward to one finished in brick slips
What if house is pebble dashed?
I need cavity wall insulation, detached property, can you recommend a few different installers? Also would it be better for polystyrene balls? To me it seems more logical as it would fill voids much easier 🤷🏻
Hi Roger,I have a question between the insulate fome why do you pach with adhesive and not a full adhesive? Now you have space and hols ...can you please help and explain, many thanks
I'm surprised your not on TV yet . Great videos
I read comments first before I watched the video. After watching, learned a lot. Millions of thanks
